oneHEALTH is a multidisciplinary network of scientists exploring links between the enviroment, human activity, and health for the planet and society.
We are powered by a Scientific Steering Committee of global leaders and experts in public, animal and ecosystems health and the disciplines that interact closely with them (including agriculture/food production, safety and security, development, biodiversity conservation and natural resource management, climate and weather science, and more). Our International Project Office is based at the research organization EcoHealth Alliance.
We conduct innovative research on the drivers of disease oriented to inform policy and practice makers in more healthy and sustainable approaches to promote “One Health”. We welcome ideas for collaboration including: information dissemination; best practice/resource sharing; coordinated data collection and analyses; national and international policy development and strengthening; joint research and monitoring projects; and capacity building partnerships.
Scientific Steering Committee
The Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) is the central governing body of oneHEALTH (formerly ecoHEALTH). Made up of experts and leaders from a variety of disciplines, it meets annually to synthesize scientific advancements and discuss policy and future research priorities.
Each member provides robust and unique expertise and experience, ranging from in-the-field research to international policy making (and many a mixture of both!)
SSC members are nominated and elected for a period of three years, though many stay involved beyond the life of their commitment through the wider oneHEALTH research networks and self-sustaining projects.
International Project Office
oneHEALTH (formerly ecoHEALTH) activities are supported through the International Project Office. The IPO is, along with the Scientific Steering Committee, responsible for engaging the international community, establishing networks, coordinating activities, and monitoring progress in the implementation of oneHEALTH worldwide. It also communicates the results of oneHEALTH activities through forums including reports, scientific publications, blog posts, workshops, media interviews, and policy processes.
