Scientific community at UNFCCC COP21 – join the hub!

Future Earth has teamed up with ICSU and ISSC to provide a community hub for researchers attending COP21, to help information sharing, coordinating and networking within the research community present at the meeting.

The 21st United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP21) on climate change in Paris will take place from 30 November to 11 December 2015. Will you be attending?

Future Earth will have a booth at COP21 for most of the 2 weeks, shared with ICSU, the ISSC and the Stockholm Resilience Centre. Future Earth hopes to provide a lively focal point for the scientific community attending COP21 via a number of services, such as regular briefings on the negotiations from members of our community and highlights about relevant side events and off-site events via email. Future Earth is also putting together an expert database for the accredited media (3,000 journalists) to facilitate timely and efficient connections among journalists and attending researchers.

Please use the short online questionnaire below if you will be in Paris for the COP so that Future Earth can highlight your planned activities (official or non-official side events) in their communications and keep you informed of science activities around Paris and at Le Bourget during the two weeks of the summit.

Please note that ICSU/ISSC/Future Earth cannot arrange official accreditation and access to the COP for non-accredited participants, and cannot provide any financial or travel assistance.
