Workshop – Bright Spots: Seeds of ‘Good’ Anthropocenes
This is the second global workshop of the project “Bright Spots: Seeds of a ‘Good’ Anthropocene” that is co-led by ecoSERVICES and the Programme on Ecosystem Change and Society (PECS). The project partners will discuss the results and highlight steps for a way forward. The workshop is upon invitation only.
The overall goal of the project “Bright Spots: Seeds of a ‘Good’ Anthropocene” is to solicit, explore, and develop a suite of alternative, plausible visions of ‘Good Anthropocenes’ – positive visions of futures that are socially and ecologically desirable, just, and sustainable. The project aims to counter dystopian visions of the future, dominated by environmental degradation and social inequality.
The workshop will bring together the project team once again. After a first global workshop in Stockholm in January 2015 that planned the activities of the project (see news here), this second workshop aims to analyse the data gathered over the course of the year and discuss the results. It will also discuss the way forward and additional partnership and communication strategies.
The workshop is jointly funded by the Programme on Ecosystem Change and Society (PECS), ecoSERVICES and Future Earth through their Fast Track Initiative programme.
Upon invitation only
