Workshop – Sustainable farming systems in the Mediterranean region

The workshop aims to identify changes in farming practices that increase the sustainability at farm level, with a special focus on those changes that improve the ecological functioning of the agro-ecosystem.

The meeting is an effort to increase collaboration within the Mediterranean region. It will gather fifteen experts on agricultural land use and climate change scenarios, ecosystem services and socio-economic indicators. The participants will come from France, Lebanon, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia and Spain, through the following projects and initiatives: ENVIMed, OT-Med, ecoSERVICES, the Mediterranean Ecosystem Services Working Group, OPERAs and EU BON.

The workshop is co-hosted by the CNRS and CIHEAM-IAMM, funded by the CNRS and co-organised with ecoSERVICES.
